ADVENT CALENDAR FOR CHILDREN
500 Advent calendars for children from marginalized communities
The run-up to Christmas is a time filled with anticipation, but for many children from marginalized communities, this anticipation is not something they can take for granted.
Shortly before Advent 2025, we received a direct request stating that 500 Advent calendars were still needed for children from marginalized groups. Without our immediate action, some of these children would have been left without a calendar and without the festive Christmas spirit that other children take for granted.
For many of us, an Advent calendar is a small ritual that fuels the anticipation of Christmas. For children from marginalized communities, it is so much more than that. It is a moment of comfort in a world that is often too harsh for these young hearts—the feeling that someone is thinking of them, that they are seen, and that they matter.
Behind each little door lies more than just chocolate or a small surprise. It holds a bit of normalcy, a touch of magic, and a spark of hope. For children who are often forced to go without, this daily moment means: “There’s something special for me. I get to be happy.”
Thanks to your support, we were able to send 500 Advent calendars to underprivileged children who would otherwise have gone without, showing them that they are valued and will not be forgotten.
In a last-minute effort, we managed to secure 500 Advent calendars in no time at all, and thanks to your support, we were able to give the children a wonderful Advent season and show them that they haven’t been forgotten.
