OUR ASSOCIATION
Who we are
POSITIVE GLOBAL CHANGE e.V. is an intergenerational project that was founded by members of the Positive Global Change team in Hamburg in 2017. The work of the association is based on the assumption that our world is unique with every human being, every animal and the entire natural world and environment. This uniqueness must be promoted, protected and preserved for the next generation.
Specifically, the association therefore aims to support institutions and their projects and, where appropriate, its own projects that contribute to people of all ages being able to lead a financially and physically healthy life with fulfilling social relationships and access to social participation through promotion and/or education. Animals should be given a species-appropriate life in water, on land and in the air. This includes the preservation of the respective habitat.

OUR HISTORY
How it all began...
At the beginning of 2011, some of our current association members and later co-founders of Positive Global Change e.V. took the initiative to support the great need of street children in Germany.
We have generated many donations with many committed campaigns such as "sponsored charity walks" in Hamburg's Stadtpark, charity concerts in Hamburg and rowing campaigns in Kiel. These were donated via the Human Help Network organizations, later "Brave Children", to support needy children in their distress and at the same time draw attention to this focal point.
With this strong, active commitment and the desire to support several generations and animals as well as our environment, we then founded our own association, Menschen.Leben.e.V., as a multi-generational project in 2017. By opening our own meeting place in Hamburg Barmbek, where several generations could meet and enrich each other, we have created a place of encounter and love, from which we have organized many activities to support children, families and pensioners in need.
With the impact of the pandemic in 2020, we actively launched our own projects such as "Hunger Extinguishers", in which we packed food parcels together with Edeka, which our members handed over to families in need.
When the pandemic restrictions lasted longer, we closed the meeting place and from then on transformed the association in its activities from Hamburg through Germany into the world.
Due to the increasing internationality and diversity of the social projects, the name of the association was changed to Positive Global Change e.V. in 12/2023, enabling us to open up many more projects at the same time.
