Swimming course 2025 for daycare center children's group

As a result of our Spiel Spaß und Bewegung campaign to get children involved in sport, we have recently received an urgent request from an Arche daycare center. They asked us to support a group of 10 children by providing swimming lessons for this group of children.

The daycare center was only able to finance the first course and could not afford the second. The aim was to support 10 children in need with 10 swimming lessons.

With a donation of €2,000 for these 10 swimming units, we were able to make the group swimming course possible for October 2025.

Why a swimming course for nursery children is essential, because learning to swim is much more than just a sporting activity for children.

It's about safety, equal opportunities and participation. In Germany, children drown every year because they cannot swim - families who have little experience with water themselves and are unable to teach their children this important skill are particularly affected.

These nursery children in particular often grow up in an environment where swimming pools or lakes are rarely visited. Many parents have never really learned to swim themselves. For their children, this means a key piece of education and safety that they would be denied without a swimming course.

It's not just about learning to swim. It is also about self-confidence, the joy of movement and the experience that they have the same opportunities for support as other children - regardless of their background or their families' means.

With our donation of €2,000 , we have made it possible for these children to acquire a skill that will accompany them throughout their lives.
