Those who help neglected children today prevent the victims and perpetrators of tomorrow

Children need more than just a roof over their heads. They need opportunities, a sense of belonging, and the feeling that they matter—a daily life that shows them: You are important; you are seen.

Yet for many children growing up in poverty right here among us, precisely that is out of reach. Often quietly, often unseen, they start their day without a proper breakfast, have to go without school supplies, cannot take part in field trips, and are unable to pursue hobbies like sports or music. Things that others take for granted remain out of reach for them. Child poverty does not just mean a lack of money; it means a lack of opportunities. This leads to frustration, low self-esteem, and suppressed anger: a cycle that often results in criminal behavior or a life as a victim later on.

We want to address this cycle. We want to look where others look away, and take action where help is urgently needed.

With your support, we can help children in need and show them that they are not alone. Every donation helps fill empty lunchboxes, fund sports and music classes, and make the journey to school easier —a moment when a child feels: Someone is thinking of me. I belong here.

Our partners work directly in the city’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods and reach children who would otherwise fall through the cracks. We have supported this work time and again over the past few years, and we want to be part of it again this year. Depending on how much we can achieve together, our donations will cover part of this funding.

Every donation, no matter how large or small, turns despair into hope. It fills a lunchbox, makes a sports class possible, and gives a child the feeling that is perhaps the most important thing in their life: the feeling of being seen.
